#Canon s9000 printhead problem series#
Have you ever wandered why Canon bothers with the new firmware series ? Going backwards like you plan to do - will often fry an egg on top of the main board. Won't be a miracle cure for all problems ( i got a 50/50 success out of the ones i tried from small inkjet printers to a W2200 and BJW3000) but still the worst thing that could happen would be for you to need to get another head which already is happening, so and keeping in mind that this should be a last resort (can kill the print head for good) try it if you want and let us know how it went after being dry put it on the machine and do a couple of deep clean cycles and see what you get. try not to get to much water in the contacts part, try bo blow of the most water you can with a compressor (compressed air machine) and let it dry naturally (don't dry it with hair blower or something like that). Johnwell i would never recommend this if it was not for a last resort ok, as for the downgrade i wouldn't recommend it either, might fry or brick your mainboard, as for the head itself try the alcohol based cleaner first and if that doesn't do it (and only as a last resort and with extreme care) try to put the head in hot water not boiling but hot with 2 or 3 drops of mild neutral ph dish washing soap leave for 5 to 10 min then do it again for a couple times, on the last times you shake it try to do it against paper or something you can notice bits of ink going out in the water.
Its no good that the new printer after a year use has print-head problem and I need to pay almost a half of brand new printer cost to fix it (after cleaning type B process all inks gone, maintenance cartridge gone, so the total cost at the moment is 250-300 punds (printhead) 45 pounds (maintenace cartidge) 300 pounds all new ink as the old one is gone before of that = total cost aroudn 650 pounds - new printer cost 900 pounds more or lesss - SOĮveryone see that is something wrong - I would suggest for everyone than no buying Canon ploter use the HP as we have 2 of them they are works perfectly since a 5-6 years
Nozzle 2 check scan is perfect, we are useing the printer only for CAD drawing, I assume that why the BK is blocked Try ebay for a new printhead, some companies sell off their old stock cheap.īut have a look first for a nozzle 1 check scan I have had some success cleaning these heads, flush the nozzels out with some alcohol based cleaner (not water etc) & gently wipe the print head surface.īut I agree you would never want to downgrade firmware, not sure that's even possible.
